Islamic Jurisprudence: Introduction and Historical Development

This is a unique 1-day intensive on a variety of crucial aspects of Islamic jurisprudence. This workshop is essential to understanding Islamic law and is a must for every Muslim.

You will learn about the historical development of Islamic Jurisprudence, as well as how the Rulings of the Shari’ah as we know it were extracted from the Primary Sources. It will provide you with a clear understanding of the importance of the Schools of Jurisprudence (Madhab) and their systematic analysis of evidences that form the Rulings. It will also be most beneficial for people of other Faiths to understand what Islamic Law is all about. By understanding the contents of this course, you will find clarity rather than confusion about Islamic law.

This seminar will be run by Imam Afroz Ali, of Al-Ghazzali Center. Imam Afroz has run seminars of varying lengths on this vital topic, on many occasions.
